Silver Rose Posey Ring stocking along with poor Yorick's skullThis silver posey ring, inspired by Shakespearean history, is a copy of a gold ring found during the excavation of the Rose Playhouse on Bankside. The Rose Playhouse was a contemporary rival of the Globe Theatre and hosted plays by both William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe. The ring is engraved with the Old French inscription PENCES POVR MOYE DV. The letters DV stand for the Latin words Deo Volente, which translate as Think of me, God willing.
